Nordic Controls

For manufacturers

A UK partner with its boots on the shop floor.

Nordic Controls Ltd is an independent UK supplier of industrial control and automation parts. We sell to maintenance teams, panel builders and machine builders by visiting them. We are looking for a small number of manufacturers who want a technically capable partner in the UK market, and we offer the things a head office cannot do from abroad.

What we bring

Five things, each of them specific. If one of them matters to you, we should talk.

Field presence

We sell by visiting. Maintenance teams, panel builders and machine builders across Yorkshire, the North West, the North East, the Midlands and the East of England by appointment; elsewhere in the UK by arrangement. We see what is installed, what fails and what the engineer actually wants, and that is where your product gets specified.

Technical selling

Engineering and sales professionals who read the datasheet, cross-reference the competitor's part and propose yours only where it genuinely fits. A free-sample programme puts the part on the machine; the balance order follows when it proves itself.

Application feedback

Every swap is recorded: original part, equivalent, machine, conditions, outcome. You get anonymised feedback on where your product wins in UK plants and where it falls short. Few distributors can give you that.

Clean operations

Our own ERP with stock and serial tracking, quotations that state condition and lead time on every line, tracked delivery, a UK returns and warranty route for your customers, and books kept to HMRC Making Tax Digital standards.

Honest positioning

We never claim authorised status we don't hold. Brand names identify products; your trademarks are yours. If you make us a reseller, we say so exactly as you want it said.

What we are looking for

Modest asks, in the order they matter to getting your product onto machines.

A defined range

UK reseller or partner status for one product family to start: sensors, interface relays, DIN-rail power supplies, HMIs, networking or connectors.

A starter price list and stock

Trade pricing, a small starter or demo stock (consignment welcome), and a clear route for UK returns and warranty.

A sample allowance

Samples fund our first-one-free programme, which is how your part gets onto a machine that currently carries a competitor's.

Training and marking

Product and application training, access to datasheets and CAD, and UKCA marking in place for the UK market.

How we would start

Small, measurable, and easy to stop if it isn't working for either side.

A conversation

At SPS in Nuremberg in November, or a call any time. Thirty minutes is enough to see whether the fit is there.

A six-month pilot

One product family, agreed targets, our field feedback shared quarterly. Small enough to be easy to say yes to.

A review with data

What sold, where, against which competitor part, and what the engineers said. Then we both decide whether to widen the range.

Who we sell to
